If You Can’t get out of it, get into it!

Some parts of the day are pure drudgery!  I remember a friend once told me that if I couldn’t get out of it, (the chore in front of me) I needed to get into it.  That little saying helps me all the time because I still have days in my retirement that have yucky chores like cleaning the oven or doing the laundry.

There are other times when I have to fill out forms as I am working on the Internet.  I don’t want to do it but I can’t complete my application until everything is listed and the complete form filled out.  I don’t know why I balk at some chores…I just do.

When I get into the job at hand, my serenity begins to grow because I am no longer fighting against myself to complete a necessary task.

Give it a try the next time you are allowing yourself to get stuck.  It works and you will be happier when you finish your task at hand.
